Original correspondence of Monod written in French. Copies of correspondence between Monod in Paris and Chiniquy in St. Anne regarding a dispute between Theodore and Chiniquy. Chiniquy asserts that Theodore has fallen in with an unscrupulous friend and has tried to take his position away from him. Monod defends his son. One legal affidavit asserting that he was bribed to vote for Theodore against Chiniquy. Several letters that cast doubt on the veracity of Chiniquy from a man in Peoria.
